I know mostly everyone here has some type of filesharing program like Kazaa, Kazaa-Lite, Shareaza, whatever. I'm wondering if anyone really understands what's going on with the whole thing with the RIAA (or MIAA or something like that) going through those files and suing the people for illegal sharing. From what I've understood, they're targetting people that are sharing more than 600 songs and those with popular artists (Metallica, Eminem, etc.) not the actual people doing the downloading. Anyway if anyone knows about this or has some thoughts about it, please share them. Thanks.

LOL, Jade.
Yeah but don't you think that's hypocritical, that the record companies have to set it up that way in order to bust you? I downloaded a song, I think it was La Diferenzia or Los Palominos, some time ago and when I tried to played it, it would send me to a web page talking about I had a song that wasn't copyrighted or SOMETHING I just deleted it because I tripped out on it. But now that they have some new law out, they're combing through all those P2P networks, especially Kazaa. I'm not justifying what I used to do because I got rid of all that stuff a while back but I would mostly download old music that's hard to find. I never downloaded Eminem or any of that mainstream crap that I can't stand anyway. I don't know, when it comes down to it, it is illegal and it is wrong. Just sucks because I won't be able to get those old songs by artists that no longer record and whose albums are hard to find, even on the internet. |

Everyone should see what Kazza did to Jade's pc.
