Long Distance Relationships, what do y'all think

Have you ever been in a long distance relationship? Well today me and my boyfriend just started going out and we only have a week to be together until i leave for San Diego and while im there he'll be in Houtson for the summer with his cousin and we already talked about it and that we trust eachother but you know a girl worries about these things so whats ur opinion or advice?

It's been known to work. I know a couple that's getting married after having been in a long distance relationship (Him in Cali, her in Texas) for about two or three years. Trust is everything. If you're having doubts it's natural but don't let it cloud your judgment. Just maintain the communication with him.

I think as long as that trust is there you and your man will be fine. I have a friend who is getting married also. Her boyfriend was away at college in Harvard and she was in Houston. They had there ups and downs but they are doing great engaged. They were separted for so much longer than you two will be. They were for 4 years. So I think you and your boyfriend will do just fine. Try to talk to him as much as you can and I think that will help you out. Good Luck

I'VE BEEN IN A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP BEFORE AND THE MAIN THING IS TRUST. YOU HAVE TO REALLY TRUST EACH OTHER AND IT CAN WORK OUT. IN YOUR CASE IT'S NOT SO BAD SINCE IT'S ONLY FOR THE SUMMER! I WISH YOU THE BEST GURL!!!

Well, I've been in a long distance relationship before...I dated a guy who lived in Corpus and I lived all the way in Dallas. It was cool and everything, I would get butterflies in my stomach everytime I would see him. I missed him all the time, and I guess it made me value the time I would spend with him more. But eventually, it didn't work out....but I think it was because of his career, too...Of course distance played a HUGE part in it, because I think he needed someone near more than anything to support him....and I couldn't do that because of course, I was hundreds of miles away....Anyway, it lasted for about 7 months, so 2 1/2 wouldn't be so bad for the both of you...Good luck, girl..and hopefully everything works out!

Yeah TRUST is going tobe the main thing in this relationship but theres no reason for me to not trust him we've been friends for a while now and he's a really good guy so for now im happy and we try to spend as much time as possible witheachoher before i leave and so far everything is going great....thank you to all that replied i appreciate it alot.
