Substitute teaching but it's not guaranteed - I might get called for assignments, I might not. In Texas you have to have 60 hours of college credit in order to sub.

I finally got called in to sub and let me tell you it was TIRING. I wasn't even there the entire day and I was already staring at the clock wishing for it to be 3:00 pm already. I had a 1st grade bilingual class and the kids were precious but BAD. At the end of the day, two girls hugged and kissed me goodbye.

Lil kids Pre-K and Kinder are the best age to teach, well at least I think. I worked a Fine Arts program for 2 1/2 yrs and I was a teacher assistant and we had 3-5 yr old. It was soo much fun they're just soo cute and of course you get some that get attached to you.
As for my job I've only had 1 job my whole life. I started working for the FWISD when I was 16. I started out in the Textbook Warehouse the summer before my JR yr. That Fall when school started I got moved to the Student Affairs Dept been there since. That same fall I started working the Fine Arts program on Sat morning and they had it during the summer in the afternoons I did that for 2 1/2 yrs. I graduated hs and kept working part time. 2yrs later I wanted to start working full time and a position came available and I got on full time and now that's where I'm at. I've been here 7 yrs but it sure dont' feel like it!!! |
