120 Melbourners donned rubber gloves and pointed skywards
130 Sydney residents barked at a statue of Queen Victoria's dog
300 New Yorkers screamed at the foot of a toy dinosaur
200 Montrealers quacked and tossed rubber ducks into a water fountin at Place des Arts
300 Romans ask for imaginary titles at a bookshop
200 New Zealanders mooed like cows in a burger joint

Then as swiftly as these eccentric throngs materialised, the odd gatherings, known as flash mobs, disappeared. The whimsical phenomenon originated in New York and has since gone global, harnessing the power of the internet to connect people. Participants are asked to gather inconspicuously at a set time and place where covert leaders hand out scripts outlining the stunt. The preformance is over in minutes and the crowd is gone in a blink of an eye. Why? Mobsters say the buzz of spontaneous tomfoolery is their only motivation.

I read this in a book and I have to say this is the craziest thing Ive heard in while!

I love Mexico! It's not so bad if you ignore them. Think of it as flattery, lol. Or do something like scratch your ass or pick your nose. OR talk to them, they usually act all stupid and stop staring. LOL
