Oh my gosh, TOTALLY forgot about Mel Brooks films! Great stuff!

And there is nothing wrong with good chick flicks now and then. I've never heard of la vita e bella. Who's in that one? A foreign film, I assume...I didn't care for Men In Black too much, but the music was great for that movie. I think Will Smith is one of the most talented people out there. I don't think there's anything he can't do smile.gif

Yeah, Reality Bites was a great one too. Now that movie I loved AND the music I loved! It's like a 2 in 1 special! I really need to see that movie again.

it was also called life is beautiful. Roberto benigni plays the main character.. hes a father who is sent to a concentration camp with his wife and kid... and all throughout the movie he makes his son believe that its a game they are playing and that the grand prize is an american tank in order to keep the sons hopes up and so that his son obeys more when it comes to hiding from the nazis. really sad ending for the dad but happy for the son. good movie.

Oh, okay. Life Is Beautiful. I remember hearing so many good things about that movie, but never got a chance to see it. I didn't realize that la vita e bella was the translation. And anything pertaining to The Holocaust is always hard to watch. I'm reminded of Schindler's List which was such an amazing film, but I just can't bring myself to sit through it again because it was so tough to get through.

MMBUG, You must really love Gladiator and Reality Bites because you mentioned them twice tongue.gif But hey, that's cool that you are so passionate about your choices. I agree about the music too. Both really made these movies stand out even more. I don't actually have the soundtrack to either of these movies, so what are they like?

MusicELG, Yeah i noticed i repeated. I wanted to add more to my list then when i came to reply i couldn't exactly remember what was on my first list:-) Oh well what can ya do. The Gladiator soundtrack is so amazing, it has a lot of Middle Eastern, North African feel to the music with some really cool chanting. Reality Bites is just awesome! It has U2, Lenny Kravitz, The Posies, Lisa Loeb. Check out the new 10th Anniversary one if you can, it's good.

Okay, so I've got The Gladiator soundtrack on hold at my local library so I'm stoked to see what it's like. Also, one of my friends happened to have bought that newer Reality Bites soundtrack and she offered to let me borrow it, so I totally took her up on it and I love it! I didn't realize how much I really loved the music in that film! Even the songs that weren't in it were great! Thanks again for the recommendations!
