Iced Earth

Iced Earth is coming to my town tomorrow night. Anyone like these guys?

I can't say I've ever heard of them, what sort of metal do they play? What bands do they sound like?

they are awesome, the show kicked Butt, a full 2 hr set.

the original singer quit to become a cop and now that have a new guy.

etc

My opinions are so mixed on Iced Earth. I really like their music, but that guy's vocals bother me for some reason. They do have good lyrics, though. I'd love to see them live. Actually, I think they played here a month or so ago but I had other plans.

I saw them when they came to Van with Children of Bodom and Evergrey.....AWESOME concert!!!!

I recommend Dark Saga or Horror Show.......maybe even Night of the Stormrider......NOTSR has their first lead singer on it, Dave Abell if I remember correctly.......and Matt left to work for the Government, not a cop.

Very, VERY good live show. Like all their albums, Horror Show in particular tells a story. (Famous horror movies). Not only is their music great (great guitar, lyrics - words and sound) but it has meaning behind it... which many bands are lacking these days. ;/
