Opeth is good, but their music gets really repititive after awhile. They're one of those bands that are good in small doses.

Hmm... not true at all. They have not reached the point where they start to get dull, repetitive, or 'mainsteam' yet, in my oppinion. I saw Opeth live earlier this year and they put on one hell of a show. Each of their CDs varies so much from the others, it adds real diversity to their sound. Their guitar-playing is wonderful, and his voice is amazing... they are a group of very talented Swedes. |

Hehe thought I would bring this dead topic back to life...
lyndz, yeah, me too. They rock live, over and over. Their shows don't get old, and neither does their music. They haven't gone downhill or anything yet, like most bands do over the years. That is very impressing about them. In fact, I am listening to them right now (The Moor, from the Still Life album.) For anyone who hasn't listened to them, I would consider "Godhead's Lament," "Deliverance," and "In My Time of Need" as their best songs. Mmmm the beauty in their music!! |

Deliverance has to be one of my favourite songs at the moment, just love the riff at the end of the song
