I think these guys are the Pink Floyd of the 90's/00's, they do great live shows with lights/sync'ed videos etc, great to watch.

An new album fron tool

Work is underway on Tool's next album, despite the fact that A Perfect Circle will be touring for the next little while. The writing process for this album will be similar to the process for "Lateralus": the band works on music, sends demos to Maynard, he works on vocals, and so on. The singer discusses this in the newest issue of Kerrang magazine, saying "we're working on a new Tool record now. I'm multi-tasking. I can't walk and chew gum but I can change hats." It was four and a half years between "Ænima" and "Lateralus", it has so far been (only) almost three since the spirally record was released. So really, they are almost ahead of schedule. gr_grin.gif

Yep, tool are very cool.

Saw them on the lateralus tour very interesting concert and they are very tight. Danny (the drummer) is probably one of the best musicians around at the moment, simply amazing drummer.

The long gap between AEnima and Lateralus was largely due to a court battle I believe.

APC are also very cool, "Thirteenth Step" is much much better than "Mer de Noms", Alhtough I think they would almost be better off without Maynard, his voice is way to distinctive and I think that makes it very hard for some people to distinguish Tool from APC.

Ah. I saw APC at the end of May. They were fantastic live! And I love "Thirteenth Step".

Tool also kicks Butt. I haven't been able to see them live yet (they haven't come in a 3 hour driving distance from where i live), but I really want to.
