just to let ya'll know...i pray every night. going to bed without praying just doesn't feel right at all. its a must for me. and i pray for everyone and everything...whether it be my worse enemy or the person i admire. (yes, i have a heart after all). even if the going gets rough i still pray for the good things that could possibly come out of it. so i'll be praying for you all also.

*my dad had surgery last week and i'm hoping he heals soon enough.
*both of my parents are always having financial problems (my mom lost everything she had in the storage cuz she couldn't afford to pay it anymore.)

ABC13 Eyewitness News
(11/22/03 – HOUSTON) — Investigators say shortly after Houston police arrived at an apartment complex on 34th and Mangum in northwest Houston Friday night, the 14-year-old victim got into a struggle with officers. Moments later, one of those officers fatally shot the teenager in the head.

Flowers and candles now mark the spot where the boy was shot and killed. Eyewitnesses and his parents say he was killed in cold blood.

"Then here they shot a 14-year-old child in the head and call it an accident," said Lydia Escobar, Eli Escobar’s mother.

The victim’s distraught mother tells Eyewitness News she considers his death a murder.

"They shoot my baby like a dog, hit him in the head," she said.

Eli was playing video games at a friend's apartment Friday night when police knocked on the door and ordered them outside.

Jose Sanchez says police came to talk to him about a fight he was in earlier in the day. He says his friend Eli was not involved in that attack and that he tried to leave. That’s when officers tried to restrain him and Escobar put up a fight.

Sanchez said, "He went crazy. The cop grabbed him, threw him on the floor. He told him to calm down. He wouldn't and he just shot him in the head."

Sanchez says Escobar did nothing to warrant the use of deadly force. Neighbor Patricia Ulmer agrees. She watched the shooting from the balcony just above, and says it looked like the officer deliberately wanted to kill the boy.

"I think it was cold blooded," said Ulmer. "I was absolutely shocked they shot him. You shot the boy for nothing! Why did y’all shoot him? He didn't do nothing. Why did you all shoot him?"

The single bullet that killed Escobar came from Officer A.J. Carbonneau's gun. He was injured in the scuffle and later treated at Memorial Hermann Hospital for wrist and groin injuries.

Houston police will not comment any further. They have refused to answer our questions, saying they won’t say any more until their investigation is complete. Escobar's father, meantime, is calling for action against the officer who took his son's life.

"What kind of officer is that?" Eli Escobar, Sr. wanted to know. "He shouldn't even be in the force. I want his badge and I want him out of the force, because I don't want another innocent children to be the same way, what happened to my son."

Officer Carbonneau has been on the job in Houston for two years. As with all officer involved shootings, HPD’s homicide division, internal affairs and the Harris County District Attorney's office are conducting separate investigations.

You do not know how angry reading this article has made me. I can't believe this, I seriously can't. The poor boy's life ended, just like that. I feel tears coming in my eyes...I hope justice will be done soon.

Okay I want to see if we can say a prayer for a friend of our family. She works with my mother well she used too and one day she just didn't show up to work then it turned to two days that she didn't show up and that two turned to the whole week. Well they did a missing persons report on her, but they have not found her. They think her husband either has her against her will or has done something terrible to her. She was in the process of getting divorced from him because he was very abusive. He had dragged her out two time against her will and made her come home when she left him. He pulled her out by her hair and forced her to come back. Well this time she was doing a good job hiding and then she just disappeared. Police are investigating, but we don't think its going to come out good. So can ya'll please pray for her safe return home. Thank ya'll so much
